Handmde Paper & Books

We carry two types of Asian hand made papers. Our “saa” paper, which comes from Thailand, is made from the pulp of the mulberry plant. It tends to be soft and ‘cushiony’, often used for note cards and boxes. “Xuan” paper from China has been the classic Asian paper for over 1000 years. This paper has been used for fine painting and calligraphy since the Sung Dynasty.
