Noren

A tradition in Japan, “noren” (split curtain) are hung in shops and restaurant doorways to block sunlight and dust. They can be used in private homes as room dividers, window curtains or wall hangings. We have selectedseveral of our favorite designs. Fabrics are cotton or ramie (hemp). Some examples employ “shibori” (tie dyed) or “sashiko” (hand stitched) techniques.
